An attempt at Poison Ivy. This is first time I try to draw her, and it was actually great fun trying to convey my personal interpretation of her personality (which I find really interesting). But OMG I got fed up with ivy halfway through the drawing...and it DIDN'T help that I then found out that normal ivy and poison ivy is NOT the same thing, and doesn't look anything like eachother. I think I owe myself a stoopid-beer or something. Lesson learned about checking ref BEFORE drawing and not after or midway through
Anyways the piece is for the awesome colourist Stacy Raven I really hope she will like it!
Also i'm crossing my fingers that theeee amazing Devgear will ink it, and doesn't run away screaming after throwing one glance at it!!
And for the boring part: this is not for use in any way whatsoever except the appointed inker and colourist Stacyraven and DevGear. thank you very much for your consideration

Pls pls pls if you have aaaany comments, critique, help, advise etc, it would be awesome if you throw it in my direction
Overall a very solid piece. Some minor areas of concern. The extended hand is "lost" in the hair. Also on the extended hand, the pinky seems too prominent. Either the angle or the length could be the issue."
Since most of the drawing has consistent line weight, you use of heavier lines on some the roots/branches end up drawing focus away from the main figure. Thickening/darkening up some of lines around her contours would help reestablish focus on her.
Granted, much of the focus issue could be resolved during inking and/or coloring. I'm only pointing out their appearance base on the pencil art.
Again, over all, a very solid piece. I commend you and admire your persistence in doing all the surrounding foliage. I'd would be very easy to want to give up on it, with all that is going on there. Well done.
Heya -thank you so much for the heads up, and cant tell you how happy i am that you could be arsed! Its really awesome to see her in colour for the first time
I would have never noticed the ivy versus poison ivy business.
Meanwhile, the first thing that comes to my mind is your dedication and patience. Then I do note the excellent rendition of her body, with no aspects neglected.
I have put this in my folder of linearts to color; but please do not hold your breath awaiting my work. I haven't done any coloring for quite a while and it would take me forever to do justice to your work... especially when you consider my "skill" level (about a 3 on a scale from 1 to 100). But I can dream, can't I?
wow! this is amazing comment! thank you so much!!! just the fact that you think my stuff is interesting enough to contemplate colouring makes me really happy ..and yeah dreaming is the food for the soul. and practice gives improvement
